Korres, you let me down =[ + mini ULTA haul
I went to ULTA earlier today. I picked up a few things, and actually returned a product that I had been really excited about, but just didn't work for me.
To start, I returned the Korres Wild Rose Triple Benefits Kit, or whatever it was called. I think I got my hopes up way too high, and it just didn't do anything more me. I used all the products for about 3 weeks, and I actually think it it was the cause for my breakouts. Although the products smelled HEAVENLY--literally like fresh-picked roses--the smell kept making me sneeze. I have a really sensitive sense of smell and combine that with allergies...just a no-no =[ so I was really sad that I had to give this product back. But at least I know now that it just doesn't work for me. If I had never tried it, I would probably still be dreaming about it! Haha.
Even though I had to return a product that I really wanted to love, I picked up several other things--only one of which was on my list of things to buy.

First product is the NYX 10 Eyeshadow Palette in Champagne & Caviar. This palette did not get amazing reviews. Many were complaining about the colors. This is a palette you should only buy if you are in search for neutrals. Many people said that the color range is limited, that the colors were too similar, etc. NYX made other 10-color Palettes with other types of colors in case these are too neutral and you were looking for something else. I however need more eyeshadows I can wear during the day, and I felt like these were perfect for the spring season. I did swatches of each of the colors (respectively to how they show up in the palette), so that you can see how these apply on the skin. Note: I used MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre to prime the back of my hand before doing the swatches:

Next is the Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil & Gel. I for this in the color Dark Brown 106. I thought about getting the Brunette, but the color had too much of a red undertone from what I could see. The second picture is a swatch of the pencil (on top) and the gel (which I allowed to dry, on the bottom).

The final thing that I bought today is the Cosmedicine Honest Face Skin Tint & Treatment in Medium Skin. I decided to find another tinted moisturizer since the Neutrogena one that I bought earlier felt a little too thick and showed up in a whiteish? tone on my skin (probably due to the SPF in the formula). I tried the Cosmedicine TM today and it felt so good on my skin that I couldn't resist buying it. It was pretty expensive though... $35 for 1.35 fl. oz / 40 mL. This has SPF 20 just like the Neutrogena one but this one doesn't show up cakey or whiteish on my skin which I absolute adore. The only thing that concerns me is that it has parabens in it, but we'll see how it all works out once it gets worked into my daily makeup routine. Oh yeah, and what I really liked about the product is that the tube itself is sealed so you know that there has been no chance of contamination prior to buying it. Kudos, Cosmedicine =]

Drugstore haul yet again
Over the past few days or so, I have been to the drugstore several times. Each time I picked up something different, and I am very excited about all these new things! So let's get started...
The two following pictures are to show a few things that I bought, the Milani Gold Eyeliner, the Neutrogena TM, and the E.L.F. Brow Gel.

This is the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer. It is a tinted moisturizer, and I am in the color Neutral to Tan 40. It looks really dark in the bottle, but since it's a tinted moisturizer I find that it compliments my skin really well. I've been using it for the past 3 days (you can see what it looks like on my skin in the picture above), so I don't really want to give a full review on it. However, I have to admit that this is one of the best TM out there. My favorite thing about this TM is that it has SPF 20--which is absolutely fantastic. I got it on sale too! It was 40% off at Rite Aid. I think it only ended up being $7.25... Unfortunately the sale ended today (sorry for not mentioning it sooner! =[) and I'm not sure if any other drug store is having a sale on Neutrogena products.

Another Neutrogena product that I picked up was the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Loose Powder in Medium. Now, the only reason I picked this up was because I needed a good powder to set the tinted moisturizer. And after reading the reviews on Makeup Alley, I just had to get it. There were so many positive reviews (and a sale going on) that it was really hard to resist. I tried it today, and it has helped a lot with making the TM stay put.
Earlier today, I went to Target and picked up E.L.F. Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara on an impulse. I had heard some beauty gurus on YouTube talk about the brand E.L.F. and when I saw it at Target I thought that I'd try a few things out. The weird thing about this product is that it is exactly the same product on both sides (according to the ingredients on the back of the packaging), they just have different brushes for the eyebrow and eyelash side. I used it in the picture taken above

I'm really excited about this brush. It is the Eye Contour Brush from Studio Tools. I got this at Target as well...for ONLY$2. How can you beat that? I tested it out today, and the natural hair bristles are so soft, and the size of the brush is perfect for applying color to your crease. If you don't have a brush like this already, I suggest giving this one a go! You can't go wrong.
I got another brush: the Complexion Brush from E.L.F. at Target. This one was only $3 (How can E.L.F. make their products cost so cheap?! I can't seem to wrap my mind around it, haha). I bought this because I quickly realized that I needed a powder brush for the Neutrogena Loose Powder that I bought. I didn't have time to stop by Sephora for a brush of better quality, so this one will have to do for now. One negative thing I have to say is that when I opened the packaging I was really put off by the smell of the brush. It smelled like it just came out of the factory or something. I can really describe it other than that it was super strong, and I really didn't want it near my face. So I washed it haha... Now I'm just waiting for it to dry before testing it out. Hopefully the smell went away otherwise I have to trash it or give it away =[
This is a side view of the brush... it's somewhat flimsy.
And here's the whole thing from the front. You can tell that it's a pretty good size for a powder brush so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, because I really want to like this brush!
Lassttt, but definitely not the least!... is the Milani Liquif-Eye Metallic Eyeliner Pencil. When I saw this at the store, I couldn't resist buying it because the gold color looked so gorgeous. Plus, I don't think it was anything more than $4. I swatched it (as you can see below) and I was pleasantly surprised! This eyeliner is VERY pigmented and glides on like a dream. It applies like a liquid eyeliner from a pencil and then dries in 15 seconds. When it dries, it is completely smudge proof. I tried smudging it around and it was very hard to move. I'm wearing it right now (and in the picture) and I'm very happy with it =]
Well that's all for now. I hope this post has inspired you to go try some of these products!

Recent buys.
Over the past week or so, I've accumulated the following things. I'm really looking forward to doing a review of all the items because I've heard such great things about all of them.

The first thing is the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup. I've heard such great things about this foundation and how it is a dupe for NARS Sheer Glow. I've never really been a fan of Neutrogena's makeup line (their skincare line is amazing though!), but I thought I'd give this a go since everyone has been raving about it the past few days.
The Next product I purchased was Sally Hansen's Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil. I actually went to Rite Aid looking for something to help my nails (since they are in serious need of it, haha). I hadn't read any reviews of it before purchasing it, but this one looked the best out of all of them. I had no idea that Sally Hansen had SO MANY cuticle treatments, so it made it difficult to choose just one product. I was pleased to read the reviews of this product on MakeupAlley when I got home, so I'm excited to use this and let you know how it worked out for me.
I've been looking for an eyemakeup remover for a while now. I used to use Lancome's eye makeup remover, but it's way too expensive for me to use everday, so I picked this one up at the drugstore. Like the nail and cuticle treatment above, I didn't read any reviews before buying it and was happy to see that so many people gave it positive reviews.
Last but not least is Aussie's Moist Shampoo and Conditioner. I read good reviews about these products and felt that I had to try them out. I have been looking for a new and cheaper shampoo and conditioner for a while now. Before buying these I used Nexxus Therappe Shampoo and Nexxus Humectress Conditioner. I will do a comparison of the two in the future.
So that's all for now. I'll let you know how everything goes!

L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum
L'oreal Lash Boosting Serum
I bought this a couple of months ago but I haven't gotten around to using it EVERY day/night. I actually got this in the L'Oreal Doulble Extend 24-Hour Lash Boosting Power System (woo, long name). When I first bought it, I used it every day for about 2 weeks, and then I put it aside and it lost its place in my nighttime skincare routine. However, this time around I am going to try my best to use it every night before going to bed. I've been successful for the past 3 nights, so I better keep it up!
I've been watching a lot of reviews on YouTube that talk about how this product is used and its effects. I don't know if I'm the one who is using it incorrectly but I'm PRETTY SURE I'm using it in the way that L'Oreal intended. Many people on YoutTube are using this product on just their lashes. In actuality you are supposed to put this product on your lashes in a similar fashion that you would your mascara. Only use it on your top lash line, but apply it to the top and bottom of the lashes. AND then after that, you want to apply the serum how you would an eyeliner--also along the top lash line. This product was not made to be used on the bottom lash line (not sure as to the reason why). This second step is one that I think most people forget about, and to me it might be the most important part since you are apply it directly to the roots of your lashes.
If any of you have used this product, please share your results and advice with me! Thank you =]

Even better deal!
I am VERY excited with this find. I went to another ULTA in search for the Wild Rose Regimen Kit that I talked about in an earlier blog post, but found this one instead. This "Triple Benefits Skincare Collection" comes with 3 FULL-SIZE products for only $49.00. I was so excited I had to buy it as soon as I saw it. It comes with Wild Rose 24-hr Moisturizer, Wild Rose Serum, and the Wild Rose Mask--which are all full-size. This is an amazing deal since the moisturizer alone costs $35. I'm really excited to try these products out, so we'll see how it goes =]
